High Fog - Route one
A downloadable visual novel for Windows and macOS
Clearwater Cove is at least a little bit foggy most days... but every year, on one exact night, the fog becomes so thick that it envelops everything in its path... and every few years, on that same night, somebody dies.
Cypress and his friends live in a quiet town... with one very notable ghost legend! Phantoms are one thing, but rumors of possessed killings are another, and things are getting very strange around here! Can they survive until dawn breaks the fog the next morning?
Currently this project is a playable wip that contains one fully-completed route! (Out of a planned three, with one True Ending, currently in-progress.) This page will be updated when the others are available for download!

This game was made in ren'py! Due to the new nature of the file some security programs (such as Norton) may be unable to check it against its "safe" list and delete it outright to be on the safe side. I had this problem with several downloaded vn's myself and fixed it by telling Norton to ignore the folder where I keep them.

I'm a sucker for small town paranormal stories. Love the art and music too but the game definitely feels incomplete. It's been a while since there's been any updates, is this still in development?
Also I clicked on your Tumblr and DANG you're the same person who does the Otherknown comic? Can't believe I found both your projects independently haha
Sorry for (very) late reply! Thank you for your comments and yes, this game is still in development! Though I don't know when the next update will be -- just wanted to get the demo out there as a personal goal to myself :) (and I can't believe you've found both of my main projects independently, that is so neat!)
The base narration and dynamic of characters (at least the friendship of Cypress and Holly, who has been introduced) are well-written without spoiling the available choice we would encounter; also complemented with fine graphics, agreeable soundtrack, and detail sequence of events accompanied by those cute chibi. Just from that one Ending, it nudges some thoughts : what significant roles Thistle and that pink-haired guy to the duo's tragedy? What are they willing to do to save their friends? or what if they only could save one of them?? What really drives the mysterious haunting in High Fog???
Ah, it seems I'll be haunted by that for the next version update :'D And by the way, are you planning to update another part of this VN gradually or straight to the final/release version?
